Hi, my name is Natalie and I am a third year developmental psychology student with a minor in Indigenous studies at Carleton. I have the absolute honour of being this year's sisterhood chair and being in this position has helped me value the importance of this pillar. Sisterhood is the foundation of a sorority, and most importantly, of lifelong friendships. Being a part of this organization has taught me to value the meaning of connection and leaning on my sisters when I need help or just a laugh. At the end of the day, we all rush for the sisterhood. This year will be an amazing opportunity to explore all the possibilities that this girl gang has to offer!
My name is Ella and I am a psychology and theatre student at the University of Ottawa. I have been in this organization for two years now, I’ve held three positions previously, and currently I hold the co-position of philanthropy chair and I am honoured by this opportunity. Philanthropy is one of the main reasons I joined Xi Delta Theta because I wanted to be more involved in the community and show my support and passion for the causes I personally care about; this organization has not only provided me a creative support base, but a community and network to expand on these goals. Specifically, through Xi Delta Theta, I have been able to raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis, a disease that affects so many people, including members of my own family. I am very excited for this next year and all the positive changes we hope to make!
My name is Karly and I’m studying Finance at the University of Ottawa. I joined Xi Delta Theta in Winter 2018 and was recently elected as co-philanthropy chair. To me philanthropy is about giving back for all the good things we have. It’s being thankful of what our community has given us and returning the favour. It’s an act of selflessness and compassion; helping out and supporting others only because of the joy it spreads.
Hello! My name is Samantha and I am Xi Delta Theta’s Social chair for 2019-2020. I am currently in my Fourth Year of Law & Legal Studies at Carleton University. Although I have always been an extremely independent person, Xi Delta Theta has allowed me to let myself lean on others, and really learn how important a support system can be. I am beyond grateful for my sisters, and so many of my amazing friends throughout the entire Greek Community!
